allSnap - Autoalign windows

allSnap is a small system tray app that makes all top level windows automatically align like they do in programs such as Winamp or Photoshop.

When moving a window, it will automatically snap to screen edges or other windows’ borders.

Flock

Windows Vista Beta 2

El sábado terminé de instalar el Windows Vista Beta 2 en mi laptop (IBM ThinkPad T42P). Pueden ver las fotos de la instalación en mi fotoalbum Picasa.

Hasta ahora no estoy así muy impresionado… aunque Aero es cool.

Ya salió Picasa Web Album. En versión Beta, como todo lo de Google.

Los cupos están limitados por ahora, así que apúrense. Usen su cuenta de GMail para anotarse. La versión gratis ofrece 250MB de espacio para fotos y pueden upgrade a 6GB por $25 anuales.

GMail: growing pains?

All day today it’s been increasingly difficult to access one of my GMail accounts. My brother had the same problem yesterday with his account.

I started seeing plenty of “Oops… the system was unable to perform your operation. Please try again in a few seconds.”

After a while, these turned into outright “Server errors.”

What’s interesting is that if I clear the google cookies I can login to my other GMail account. As I’m writing this I managed to get into my main account, but it’s now unresponsive again.

It’s understandable that different accounts work, since more than likely these are hosted on different servers. However, from what I’ve experienced the past month, I seem to have gotten one of the worst servers in GMail’s farm.

What do you think? Is your GMail account working 24/7? How often do you see these errors while working with GMail?

Microsoft reempaqueta el iPod

Este video muestra como sería la caja del iPod si la diseñara Microsoft. Lo más interesante es que el video fue creado por Microsoft para su departamento de mercadeo, precisamente para resaltar los errores que estaban cometiendo.
